This jungle lodge is one of the most luxurious, least rustic lodges in Ecuador’s Amazon. A short distance from Tena, Casa del Suizo has an outdoor swimming pool, 75 rooms with electricity, ceiling fans, private terraces, and hot water. The hotel restaurant serves sprawling buffets of international cuisine and an indoor and pool bar with a full menu of tropical drinks. There is international phone service available for guests, but it is costly.
The hotel began as just a lodging house in 1985 and slowly expanded over time to the luxury hotel it is now.
Cotococha Amazon Lodge offers 21 spacious bungalows, built according to traditional architecture in harmony with the surrounding rainforest. All bungalows are equipped with a private bathroom, a private veranda with reclining chairs or hammocks to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Ecuador's Amazon. Social areas are carefully decorated and offer all comfort and cosiness for a splendid stay in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
The Jungle Lodge El Jardin Aleman is located in Pununo/Misahualli, Napo Province, 235 km from Quito. On the way to the jungle you pass through the wonderful Andes. When you arrived to the highest point (4000 m) you go down through the subtropical cloudy forest to the tropical jungle. The trip is an extraordinary experience, how the vegetation and landscape change. You can observe also the different Indian cultures, the highland Indians and the natives of the rainforest.
